As usual the Genealogical Society of Victoria has some interesting family history seminars coming up over the next few weeks. If you've been stumped by a "passenger riddle" in your family tree you might be particularly interested in the upcoming session on Minor and inter-colonial ports: solving those passenger riddles, which is being held on Saturday 31st May 2014, 10am until 4pm. If you have Jamaican ancestors you might be interested in an upcoming Thursday Talk at the Genealogical Society of Victoria. John Crone will be speaking about Jamaica and its people on Thursday 8th May 2014, 12.30-1.30pm. The talk is free for GSV members, $8 for non-members. See the GSV site for more info.

The Genealogical Society of Victoria has several interesting talks coming up in the month of May. Talks take place on Thursdays at Level B1, 257 Collins St Melbourne from 12.30 - 1.30pm. This is a great opportunity to get started on your family history.
